By introducing waste segregation, innovative recycling methods, and tech-driven solutions, Irverde strives to create a zero-waste environment, fostering a cleaner and more sustainable future.
The Challenge
As industrial and urban waste continues to rise in Pakistan, structured waste management practices are more urgent than ever. The lack of waste segregation, improper disposal practices, and limited public awareness are major contributors to environmental degradation. Irverde addresses these challenges by offering solutions that reduce waste generation and promote environmental health and safety across various sectors.
The Solution
Irverde offers comprehensive waste management services designed to transform waste into resources:
- Waste Collection and Processing: End-to-end management for both hazardous and non-hazardous waste, including collection, storage, treatment, and disposal.
- Upcycling Initiatives: Converting waste into valuable new products, such as compost from food waste, furniture from wood waste, and eco-friendly bricks from recycled plastic.
- Educational Workshops: Training sessions on the 3Rs, as well as workshops on waste management best practices, fire safety, and environmental management systems (including ISO certifications).
Impact
Since January 2023, Irverde has managed over 100 tons of waste, offset 200 tons of carbon emissions, and educated over 8,000 individuals on sustainable practices. By forming partnerships with schools, hospitals, and local organizations, Irverde is helping build eco-conscious communities and is making significant strides toward a sustainable future for Pakistan.
Future Goals
Irverde plans to expand its waste management operations, increase its upcycling initiatives, and further grow its educational programs to reach more sectors. With a vision of a zero-waste Pakistan, Irverde is committed to advancing environmental sustainability, reducing pollution, and supporting green initiatives across the nation.
