TrashIt is tackling the issue of waste mismanagement by converting organic waste into nutrient-dense compost, fostering sustainable urban farming, and cultivating eco-conscious communities.
The Challenge
Unsegregated waste harms the environment by contaminating recyclables and subjecting informal waste pickers to hazardous conditions. With more than 50% of waste being organic, a sustainable solution is urgently needed.
The Solution
TrashIt upcycles organic waste into high-quality compost, reducing landfill waste while promoting eco-friendly urban agriculture.
Key initiatives include:
- Trash on Wheelz: A waste collection service for businesses, ensuring proper waste segregation and transparency.
- Eco-Store: An online platform offering natural compost and sustainable products.
Impact
TrashIt has diverted over 300,000 kg of organic waste from landfills, supplying compost to home gardeners, retailers, and farmers, while driving meaningful environmental change.
Future Goals
Concept Loop aims to scale its production capacity tenfold over the next five years, expand its partnerships, and diversify its product offerings. Through continued innovation and community engagement, Concept Loop is committed to reshaping waste management in Pakistan, turning discarded plastics into valuable resources for a cleaner, greener world.
